Mysterious Death: Ex Olympic champion kills self
Paris, Aug 18: French Athletics Federation on Thursday, Aug 18 declared that former Olympic champion, Pierre Quinon committed suicide.
Bernard Amsalem, the president of the federation, stated, "The news was confirmed to me by family members."
After breaking the world record of a leap of 5.82m, Quinon received the golden glory in Olympic in 1984 in Los Angeles.
After retiring from the sports world, Quinon had entered restaurant business and reportedly he was preparing for the 2015 World Masters Athletics which will be held at Lyon.
