Fletcher may 'live' to see another World Cup

London, Jan 29 (UNI) A disastrous 5-0 whitewash in the Ashes to boot with an equally pathetic show in the ongoing ODI series Down Under may not affect Duncan Fletcher's chances of holding on to his post as ECB chairman David Morgan believes the coach will survive till the World Cup in West Indies.

Morgan said Fletcher's fate as England coach will be reviewed only after the quadrennial showpiece event in the Caribbean.

''I don't anticipate him going. That is my assessment of the position,'' Morgan told BBC Radio Five Live today.

Fletcher was the coach of the England side during the last World Cup in South Africa in 2003.

England have so far registered a single win out of the five matches in the ongoing Commonwealth Bank Tri-series involving Australia and New Zealand as the other two teams and are in danger of elimination.
