Fleming delighted with New Zealand's form

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, Mar 23 (Reuters) New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming declared himself extremely happy with his team's World Cup performances following the 114-run win over Canada.

The New Zealanders will go through to the Super Eight stage on the back of three successive victories.

''We are really happy with the week, it's a very good start,'' Fleming told reporters yesterday. ''Everyone's contributed.

There is no area that hasn't been ticked.'' Centurion Lou Vincent credited his wife for the turnaround in his game following ducks against England and Kenya.

He narrowly avoided a third in an excellent opening over by Canada's Anderson Cummins before composing himself to score 101, his third one-day international hundred.

''Wife's on tour,'' Vincent told reporters to explain his return to form. ''It's been good to put my hand up today. I knew it would come if I hung in there.'' Fleming said seamer Daryl Tuffey, who came in for the rested Shane Bond, had a bicep problem which was the reason he did not return to the attack after being hit for 40 off six overs.

New Zealand are still without injured batsman Ross Taylor and pace bowler Mark Gillespie. Fleming was unsure if either would be fit for the first Super Eight match against West Indies in Antigua next Thursday.
