First Team All-NBA 2024: Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokic And Wembanyama Lead The Honor Roll
The NBA announced on Sunday that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama lead this season’s All-NBA selections. They are joined on the first, second and third teams by Luka Doncic, Cade Cunningham, Jaylen Brown, Kawhi Leonard, Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Durant, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Jamal Murray, Jalen Johnson, Jalen Duren and Chet Holmgren.
Several leading names do not feature after failing to reach the new games threshold. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Anthony Edwards all missed the minimum requirement, so none are eligible for All-NBA honours this year despite strong individual seasons and major roles for their teams across the campaign.

The first team All-NBA includes Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokic and Wembanyama with Doncic and Cunningham completing the group. Doncic and Cunningham were initially ruled out of award consideration due to injury absences, but later received eligibility exceptions from the NBA and the players association, allowing both to qualify for selection despite missing earlier criteria.
Gilgeous-Alexander appears on the first team for a fourth straight year and Jokic earns a fifth such honour. Wembanyama and Cunningham claim their first career All-NBA spots. Doncic secures a sixth first team selection, becoming the first player to collect six first team honours by age 27 or younger, and the 22nd player ever with at least six first team nods.
