First hour tomorrow will be crucial: Muzumdar

Nasik, Jan 10 (UNI) Mumbai captain Amol Muzumdar said they were satisfied with the score of 302 for 3 at close of play on the first day against Maharashtra in their crucial Super League match today.

Speaking to mediapersons after the first day's play, Muzumdar said that the first hour tomorrow will be crucial and then ''we will be able to decide what type of score to set for Maharashtra in the first innings''.

When asked whether he was following the other matches which are also of importance to Mumbai if they want to qualify, the Mumbai skipper said that though they were looking at the scores of the other matches, ''we are concentrating totally on our game and are concerned only about that''.

Muzumdar also reposed his confidence in his bowlers saying that on such a flat batting track they could dismiss Maharashtra twice.

''This wicket has bounce and this bounce will be exploited by our pacers as well as spinners.'' The Mumbai captain also had a word of praise for young Sahil Kukreja, saying that his innings would help him turn the corner. ''I have repeatedly said from the beginning that the youngsters we have are good and they should be given time and opportunities and today again I have been proved right,'' Muzumdar said.
