FIDE rating chess tournament in July at Nagpur

Nagpur, June 3 (UNI) The fifth edition of G H Raisoni Memorial FIDE rating chess tournament, with a prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh, will be held here from July 26 to August 1.

Only players registered with All India Chess Federation (AICF) would be eligible for participation in the tournament, according to G H Raisoni Sports and Cultural Academy Director A B Deshmukh.

The academy is hosting the tournament under the auspices of Vidarbha Chess Association (VCA).

The winner will bag Rs 50,000 and the player placed second will get Rs 30,000. The tournament would be held in 11 rounds. The players would be provided free lodging during the tournament, he said.
