Festive run organised by Fire and Fury Corps in Ladakh

Srinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) The Fire and Furry Corps organised a commemorative run at Ladakh in the run-up to the fourth Military World Games, a defence spokesman said today.

The run was flagged off by Ladakh Autonomous Hill District Council (LAHDC), Chief Executive Councilor Leh Tshering Dorje from Trishul Canteen area chowkin Leh.

The run was held simultaneously in 22 cities across the nation to mark 200 days to the Military World Games which were introduced in 1995 and held in three European countries so far.

This was for the first time that an Asian country would host the military world games.

The three-km run passed through the Leh main chowk with a large number of spectators waving and cheering the participants comprising children, women and senior citizens.

The run culminated near the Army Station Headquarters at Leh.
