Fed Cup athletics shifted to Bhopal

Chandigarh, Feb 7 (UNI) The 14th Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championship will now be conducted in Bhopal instead of Patiala from February 26 to 29.

Announcing this here today, Haryana Amateur Athletics Association secretary H S Bhadu said ''the postponement was necessistated due to some technical reasons.'' The trials for selection of Haryana will be held as per shechdule at C R A College, Sonepat on Februray 10.

The athletes will be selected on the basis of their performances in the trials and meet the qualifying standards laid down by the Athletics Federation of India.
