Facile wins for Raia Sporting and Vasco Sports Club

Margao, Aug 30 (UNI) A splendid brace by Rakshask Naik guided spirited Raia Sporting Club to trounce Velsao Pale 3-0 in the GFA-Vodafone Professional Football League match, being played here at Nehru stadium Fatorda, today.

While in another match, played at Tilak Ground Vasco, Sesa Football Academy went down to Vasco Club 0-2 .

Raia Sporting, who had beaten Vasco Sports Club 2-0 in the first match, dominated the play and moved ahead in the 28th minute through Rakashak after collecting pass from Anthony Fernandes. Inspired by a lead, Raia continued to attack and increased their lead in the 37th minute of the first half again through Rakshak, whose direct free kick found the net giving no chance to rival goalkeer Agnelo Noronha to make it 2-0.

Raia completed their tally in the 66th minute through Lairamn Peng Nawia Manto off a well-measured pass from Rakashk and sealed the fate of Velsao Pale to comfortably win the match 3-0.

For Raia Sporting it was their second consecative win.

In another match, Vasco Sports Club opened their account by defeating Sesa Football Academy 2-0.

For Vasco, goals came through Sujoy Mondal and Agnelo D'Souza once in each half respectively.
