Facile wins for Kerala against Goa

Ponda, Goa, Feb 2 (UNI) Formidable Kerala continued it's winning spree, outplaying host Goa by 3-0 today in the first Prasanna V Ghotage all India Women's Invitation Volleyball tournament in progress at Municipal ground Ponda in South Goa.

In the inaugural tie last night, Kerala trounced Karnataka by 3-0. While Maharastra beat Goa by 3-1 in a close contest.

Kerala, with two wins, topped the table with four points.

Kerala in the first match beat Karantaka by 25-8,25-14, 25-8 and then made short of Host Goa by 25-4,25-7 25-7 in the morning today. Hosts lost their both the matches so far.

Maharastra beat Goa by 22-25,26-24,25-19, 25-19.

The International players Aswani Kumar, Teji Raju, Vincy George excelled for Kerala in both the matches. While for Maharastra Vidhulatha Patak and Sandha Mane played well.

Youth National player Shaila D' Mello and Ganga did well for Karnataka and for host Goa, Betty D'Silva and Milagrin Mascarehas played well.
