Fabregas determined to leave Arsenal, says father

London, May 26(ANI): Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is determined to leave the club and join Barcelona despite repeated pleas for him to stay back, his father said.

Francesc Fabregas, who also acts as Cesc's agent and advisor, said: "Cesc wants the transfer to be sealed as soon as possible and Arsenal has to respect the player's wishes."

Barcelona is willing to pay 30 million pounds for the 23-year-old, who began his career at the Nou Camp before moving to England in 2003.rancesc also fears the internal strife could drag on for months if Arsenal try to price Barca out of the market by demanding a staggering 80 million pounds.

"The negotiations are going to be very long. Both sides are going to have to sit down several times because it's a complicated matter," The Sun quoted Francesc, as saying.

"I have the feeling the English club does not want to sell, but in the end it will yield and let Cesc go," he added. (ANI)
