Easy wins for Rout and Mohanty
Hyderabad, May 22 (UNI) The seeded players scored easy victories against their rivals in the second round of 34th National Women-B Chess Championship being played at KVBR Indoor Stadium, Yousufguda here today.
Top seed Padmini Rout(Orissa, 2215) playing on the top Board, scored a comfortable win against Savetha CH of Tamila Nadu (1971) with black pieces adopting Sicilian defense in 60 moves.
Women International Master Kiran Manisha Mohanthy (Orissa, (2204). playing on the second Board also gained a point against Andhra girl Chandana Priya Reddy (1974).
While defending champion Sai Meera (Bank Sports Board, 2199) defeated her statemate PK Jayasree (1968), other seeded players Nimmy A George of Kerala, Ramya Krishna of AP, P.Priya of Tamil Nadu, P.Lasmi Sahiti of AP, Swati Mohata of West Bengal scored easy victories against their opponents to join the leaders jointly with 2 points.
