E K Nayanar Memorial Gold Cup to kick off after Apl 10

Kannur, Feb 16 (UNI) The second E K Nayanar Memorial Gold Cup Football tournament is expected to commence here after April 10, Organising Committee Chairman M V Goindindan said today.

Talking to newspersons after the working committee, he said prominent socccer teams, including defending champion Ghana, Mohan Bagan, JCT, Mahindra, Mohammedan, teams from Goa and Viva Kerala and also from abroad were expected to take part in the tournament.

As the All India Football Federation (AIFF) had included the tournamnet in the football calender, there would not be any diffficulty to get prominent teams, he said.
