Dutt, Misha in finals

Nellore, Dec 26 (UNI) R M V Guru Sai Dutt of Andhra Pradesh (AP) and V Ruth Misha of Karnataka entered the finals of the 32nd Junior National Badminton Championship here today.

In the semi-finals, Dutt trounced Arun Nandaluri of Air India (AI) 21-16, 21-18 and Misha outplayed P S Thulasi of Kerala 21-17, 5-21, 21-4.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh's (MP) Abhimanu Singh defeated H S Prannoy of Kerala 21-12, 21-12 and N Sikki Reddy of AP pipped Mudra Dahinje of Maharashtra 21-19, 21-13 in the other boy's and girl's section matches.

In the doubles semi-finals, Arun Nandaluri of AI partnering Anil Kumar Raju of AP beat MP's Abhimanyou Singh and Saurabh Verma combine 21-13,21-18.

Kerala's combine Bennet Antony and P H Suraj defeated R M V Guru Sai Dutt and K Tarun of AP 21-12, 27-29, 21-18 to enter the finals.

Ashwini Ponnappa and Nitya Sosale of Karnataka beat Mah's Pradnya Gadre and Shwetha Kelkar combine 21-16,21-12.

P C Thulasi (Ker) partnered with N Sikki Reddy of AP to defeat Mah's Sanyogita Ghorpade and Kadamabari Chedda combine 21-8, 21-11 in the girls doubles semi-finals.

Sweta Khelkar and Ram C Vijay combine of Maharashtra won the mixed doubles title defeating Parsa Naqui and S Appa Rao of Railways 24-22, 25-23 in the finals.
