Dravid says India have to correct World Cup mistakes in Bangladesh

Dhaka, May 9 (UNI) Even as he refused to term the Bangladesh series as revenge tour, Team India skipper Rahul Dravid today said his boys are hungry to make amends of the World Cup ''mistakes''.

''We need to correct the World Cup errors and the boys are hungry and raring to go,'' Dravid said at the customary pre-match presss conference here.

India play Bangladesh in the first ODI of the series here tomorrow after they lost to the 'Tigers' by five wickets to exit from the World Cup in the West Indies.

Dravid, however, maintained that the Caribbean debacle did not weigh the team down though there was disappointment.

''There is a bit of disappointment and the boys know they have a mistake to correct.'' Asked if this was a fresh guard, he said, ''I don't know where does media get all these names. Cricket is an ongoing process, there is no beginning or end. Its all one in the scheme of things.'' Dravid also announced his first 12 for tomorrow's series opener with Piyush Chawla, RP Singh and injured Manoj Tewari set to sit out.

''Bangladesh are good side. But we have come to play good tough cricket. The boys are aware of that,'' the 34-year-old batsman said.

Asked if had any plans about any specific player in the Bangladesh side, he said, ''We have no plans to take any caution against any player, but yes we have reviewed the entire team. We have had some first hand knowledge of the team and we are planning according to that.'' ''The Bangladesh team has lots of youngsters and they are really good. This is a good side and we are prepared for them,'' he said.

On Tamim Iqbal, Dravid said, ''He is an exciting cricketer.

He got off to a flier against us. But now we know him and we know what line and length to bowl to him.'' Dravid also denied that the contract row with the BCCI was on the back of the mind of the players and he was happy that the team is in high spirits after the Kolkata camp.
