Dorjee Khamdu praises Yukar Sibi

Itanagar, Oct 15 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, who had promised Rs 2 lakh for his expenses and another Rs10 lakh for winning a medal, today congratulated Yukar Sibi for clincing a medal in weightlifting in the ongoing Commonwealth Youth Games-2008, Pune.

Yukar became the first Arunachalee to win Silver medal in 62 kg men category in his debut.

Arunachal Weightlifting Association (AWA)'s chief patron and PWD&Urban Development Minister Nabam Tuki also congratulated the young weightlifter.

He said Sibi's feat would encourage other sportspersons in the state.

Sibi would represent India at the Korea event too.

AWA president Techi Abraham and general secretary Daneil Teli have also congratulated Sibi.
