Donald to infuse 'intensity' in 'dull' English attack

London, May 26 (UNI) England's newly-appointed bowling consultant Allan Donald wants to revive the lost 'intensity' in the lackluster English pace bowling attack after he takes over his sort-term assignment.

Donald who will assist the faltering English bowlers for two months, said, ''When you look at the team and how they bowled against Australia in the Ashes, you can make out that the intensity was not quite right, from the outside looking in.'' The 40-year-old former South African pacer will work under England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) fast bowling coach Kevin Shine, under the supervision of England's newly-appointed head coach Peter Moores.

''It's one of my biggest dreams to work with a national team.

South Africa would have been perfect but their current coach is staying on.

''I'm really looking forward to it, it's another big challenge,'' he said.

Donald, who will join the English team just after the second Test against West Indies said, ''I'll sit down with Peter Moores and obviously discuss what he wants to do and what he wants out of it.

I know he's trying to change the culture a little bit too.'' Though he was hired by the ECB only for five weeks, he seemed optimistic about an extended run with the English team, saying, ''Just for now it's five weeks, starting next Saturday, joining the guys just before the third Test, so it's short-term but if things go well.....I'm not in charge. I'm just delighted with the chance for five weeks to give my 10 pence worth.'' UNI
