Diwakar to lead Jharkhand Twenty-20 team

Jamshedpur, Mar 28 (UNI) Ranji all rounder Mihir Diwakar will lead a 15-member Jharkhand squad for the zonal Twenty-20 cricket tournament to be held at Kolkata from April 3 to 8.

State Ranji opener Manish Vardhan has been appointed the vice- captain of the team, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) sources said.

Apart from Jhakrhand, Bengal, Orissa, Assam and Tripura would be the other teams for the tournament from the East Zone.

Jharkhand would take on Orissa in the inaugural match on March 3, the sources said.

Following is the team: Mihir Diwakar (captain), Manish Vardhan (vice-captain), Sabir Hussain, Saurabh Tiwary, Santosh Lal, Ishank Jaggi, Manoj Singh, Subrato Ghosh, Shahbaz Nadeem, Keshav Kumar, Gurjeet Singh Soni, Rahul Kumar, Surjit Singh, Praveen Singh and Sunny Gupta.
