Divya to represent India in World varsity Games

Visakhapatnam, Aug 6 (UNI) Ms Divya of Visakhapatnam District Swimming Association representing Andhra Pradesh has been selected to represent India in the World University Games-2007 to be held in Bangkok from August eight to 18.

According to official sources, Ms Divya was selected from Bangalore University to participate in 50 m breast stroke, 100 m breast stroke and 200 m breast stroke categories.

She was the only swimmer to win medals for the state in the 60th Senior Nationals held in Bangalore in 2006 after a period of 25 years for the state.

She had won two medals in swimming in the National Games at Guwahati.
