Dillon Brooks Acknowledges Targeting Steph Curry's Injured Thumb During Playoff Match

Despite playing with it wrapped and icing it post-game, Curry insists it hasn't affected his performance. Brooks responded to accusations from the Warriors' broadcast about targeting Curry's thumb by saying, "If I had an injured ankle, I would attack that ankle every single time. So whatever they’re saying on the broadcast, they can keep saying it."

The strategy seemed effective as Curry managed only 13 points in 24 minutes. Draymond Green acknowledged the focus on Curry, stating, "I think it's pretty obvious, but it is what it is. I'm not one to come to cry to you about what the league should do." Meanwhile, Warriors coach Steve Kerr refrained from blaming players for exploiting any advantage within the rules but urged for rule adjustments next season.

Kerr explained that current rules allow players to hit an opponent's arm once a shot is released. He noted that players tend to outsmart these rules and expressed confidence that changes will be made next year. "I'm very confident that next year the league will fix it because it's only a matter of time before somebody breaks a thumb or a hand or whatever," Kerr said.
