Daniel tied 8th at SAS; Atwal finishes tied 58th at Xerox

New Delhi, Aug 18 (UNI) After firing three over 73 in the final round in the SAS Masters (European Tour) in Stockholm, Sweden, Daniel Chopra ended in tied eighth place.

Chopra (71, 64, 67, 73) had a total score of five under 275.

The Swede dropped from overnight tied second as a result of his final round which included birdies on the 16th, 17th and bogeys on the third, sixth, seventh, 11th and 12th.

Chopra's compatriot Peter Hanson won the event with a total score of nine under 271.

Meanwhile, at the Nationwide Tour's Xerox Classic being played at Rochester, New York, Arjun Atwal (69, 68, 73, 77) finished tied 58th.

Atwal had a tournament total of seven over 287.
