Cycling-Gusev wins Swiss seventh stage, Efimkin retains lead

GENEVA, Switzerland, June 22 (Reuters) Russia's Vladimir Gusev of the Discovery Channel team won the seventh stage of the Tour of Switzerland from Ulrichen to the summit of the Grimselpass today.

The 24 year-old was part of the decisive attack that went clear on the first climb of the mountain stage and then broke clear alone on the climb to the summit finish.

Chris Horner of the US finished two minutes behind, with Germany's Andreas Kloden third a few seconds further back.

Russia's Vladimir Efimkin of the Caisse d'Epargne team finished four minutes behind but retained the overall race lead.

Saturday's 152.5 km eighth stage is from Innertkirchen to Schwarzsee.

The nine-day race ends on Sunday with a 33.7 km individual time trial around Bern.
