Corps of EME jawans make new cycling record

Bhopal, Aug 18 (UNI) A team of Corps of EME have broken national record of cycling from Leh to Kanyakumari -- covering a distance of 4,249 km -- bettering the previous record by one hour and 45 minutes.

Official sources said 15 jawans of the Corps of EME led by Major Vishal Ahlawat completed the journey in 18 hours 20 minutes as a part of the 'Ashwamegha Endurance Expedition'.

The expedition was closely monitored by Brigadier P C Joshi, Commandant 3 EME Centre.
