Churchill defeats Velsao pale 5-2

PANAJI, Oct 22 (UNI) Title contenders Churchill Brothers defeated bottom placed Velsao pale 5-2 and maintained its position at the top of the table in the Vodafone GFA Professional Football league championship match at the Tilak ground Vasco da gama today.

Churchill dominated the rival from the kick off and scored through Odafe Okolie(2), Jaison Valles, Danies Feranandes and Ningleithing Phugchen one each.

While Siamon Borgues and Alvito Rodrigues reduced the margin for Velsao pale.

With this win, Churchill Brothers increased their points tally to 25 points and Velsao pale remained on same 2 points from as many matches.
