Chawla grabs 10 as India A steamroll Zim XI to wrap up series
Bulawayo, Aug 2 (UNI) Young leggie Piyush Chawla spun a web around Zimbabwe XI grabbing a match haul of 10 for 58 as India 'A' steamrolled their opponents by an innings and 233 runs in a four-day match at the Queens Sports Club here.
Chawla scalped six for 46 as India folded up Zimbabwe for 148 in the second innings to win the two-match series 2-0.
Following on, Zimbabwe were off to a good start with the opening pair of Tino Mawoyo and Hamilton Masakadza adding up 63. However the batting collapsed inexplicably with the Indian bowlers taking five in space of two runs.
Chawla and Pragyan Ojha took four wickets apiece to end the home team's agony. For the hosts, only Masakadza showed some spine making made 73, almost half of what the entire team could muster.
Irfan Pathan also was in the thick of action, claiming three wickets for 12 runs in the second innings.
