Chautala nominates Geetika as Haryana flag bearer

Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) As per the decision of Executive Committee meeting of the Haryana Olympic Association, Abhey Singh Chautala nominated Doha Asiad Silver Geetika Jhakar of Hisar district as the flag bearer of Haryana State contingent in the National Games Guwahati from Februry 9 to 18.

While carrying the flag Jhakar will wear the traditional Haryanvi dress to keep the prestige of the state. Dr M S Mailk further nominated Geetika Jhakar as captain of the Haryana wrestling team. Mailk informed that the interest of Haryana athletes should be protected. All sportspersons of Haryana who qualified for National Games as per the norm of the IOA can contact H S Bhadu the Chef-de-Mission for registration and accreditation up to February 1.
