Chandigarh lifts WAC volleyball championship

Chandigarh, Mar 31 (UNI) The Chandigarh area team of the Indian Air Force lifted the Inter Area Western Air Command (WAC) Volleyball Championship in a keenly contested final against Adampur area team here.

The Chandigarh team defeated the Adampur team with scores of 25-20,25-12 and 25-10 last evening.

The four-day Championship, which got underway on March 26, saw teams from Adampur, Sirsa, Srinagar, Hindon, Rajokari, Halwara, Jammu, Bhatinda, Suratgarh, Sarsawa areas and Chandigarh vying for the trophy, an official release said today.
