Central Rly Pune Division and Sky Hawks in quarter-finals

Pune, Dec 5 (UNI) Sky Hawks outplayed Samford Sports Club 8-1, while Central Railway, Pune Division, put out Khadki Blues 5-4 in a tie breaker to enter the quarter finals in the qualifying rounds of the 5th Abhijeet Kadam Memorial All India Invitational Football Tournament.

The tournament, jointly conducted by the Abhijit Kadam Memorial Foundation (AKMF) and the Deccan XI Football Club, under the aegis of Pune District Football Association (PDFA), is being played at the football stadium of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Complex grounds.

In a nail biting match, Central Railway Pune Division managed to win over Khadki Blues 5-4, the full time score was 1-1. In the tie breaker Amar Pardeshi, Kishor Chaudhari, Manoj Pardeshi, Alwin Admas scored for Central Railway, while for Khadki Blues Sagar Dongare, Pradeep Adhav, Mansur Shakpal scored.

Following are the results: Sky Hawks: 8 (Rohan Shrma 1, 8, 23, Vivek Nagul 39, 42 min, Aniket Bahale 13, 48 min, Wasim Pinzare 40 min) bt Samford Sports Club: 1 (Sohel Shaikh 13 min).

Central Railway Pune Division: 5 (Alwin Dynprakash 15 min, Amar Pardeshi, Kishor Chaudhari, Manoj Pardeshi, Alwin Admas) bt via tie breaker Khadki Blues: 4 (Asif Shaikh, 29 min, Sagar Dongare, Pradeep Adhav, Mansur Shakpal); Wajid Shaikh and Javed Shaikh shots caught by G K Abhimanu Chitale.
