Central Revenue western zone sports meet from tomorrow

Nagpur, Jan 16 (UNI) The three-day 39th Western Zone sports meet of the Central Revenue Sports Board (CRSB) takes off here from tomorrow.

Speaking to reporters here today, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT), Nagpur, Suprakash Lahiri said about 800 participants of the Income Tax department and the Customs and Central Excise Departments from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa would attend the meet.

Events would be held at seven different venues in 16 disciplines - athletics, bridge, billiards, bodybuilding, table tennis, badminton, chess, carom, lawn tennis, hockey, football, basketball, cricket, kabaddi, volleyball and swimming, Mr Lahiri said.

Winners in various events at the zone meet would represent West Zone in the All India CRSB Sports meet slated to be held at Bangalore next month, he said.
