Central Revenue Sports Meet from Feb 19

Bangalore, Feb 17 (UNI) Sportspersons of national and international repute, including ace leaper Anju Bobby George, K M Binu, Sanave Thomas (Badminton), Cricketers Abay Khurasia and Barrington Rowland, will vie for top honours in the 39th All India Central Revenue Sports meet, to be held here from February 19 to 21.

Central Excise Bangalore Zone Chief Commissioner K S Nair told newspersons here today that 1,100 sportspersons of Central Excise, Customs and Income Tax departments from all over the country would participate in the tournament. Events in 22 disciplines would be held in different venues.

While Central Board of Excise and Customs Chairman V P Singh would inaugurate the meet on February 19, Central Board of Direct Taxes member Ratneshwar Prasad would be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony on February 21.
