CBSE National Athletic Meet begins Jan 4

Kochi, Dec 31 (UNI) Around 2,500 athletes belonging to 350 schools from across the country and abroad will vie for honours at the 12th CBSE National Athletic Meet starting January four here.

Speaking to reporters here, Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, the host of the Meet, Ms Maya Mohan said particpants from countries like the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar will take part in the five-day event.

As a curain raiser, a 'Run for Fitness, Run for Fun' with the participation of 50 students of the host school would be held on January 2, Ms Mohan said.

Labour India Public School, Kottayam, were the overall champions in the meet held last year in Jharkhand.

UNI
