Car rally preceding WMG arrives temple town
Tirupati, July 13 (UNI) The Car Rally taken out by military officials as a prelude to the fourth World Military Games (WMG) from Thiruvananthapuram and Secunderabad arrived at Karakambadi road on the outskirts of the temple town today.
Setwin CEO Pratap, District Sports Development Officer Nagaraju, Ex-servicemen Federation Chairman A P Naidu, Ex-servicemen Welfare Association President C V Chalapathi and Vice-President Capt K Raja Reddy and a host of other officials welcomed the rally at the entrance to the temple town.
The rally, which included 35 cars was organised by Lt Col S D Arvindan, Col Vijaya Nair, Capt K S Gravl, Capt Sanjeev Mahera and Anil Sirohi to raise awareness of the World Military Games, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from October 14 to October 21.
A large number of students, ex-servicemen and women lined up all along the route of the rally and cheered the 300 army men, who had participated in the rally.
Later, the huge car rally left for Nellore, from where they would proceed to Vijayawada and Guntur, and culminate at Hyderabad.
