Car rally on July 16

Kakinada, June 27 (UNI) A two-day car rally would be conducted from July 16 to create awareness about the International Military Games to be held here from October 14 to 21, according to army officer Lt G Santosh Kiran.

Addressing newspersons today, he said more than 100 countries were expected to participate in the games.

Union Minister of State for Defence M M Pallam Raju would flag of the car rally from Ganchibowli stadium at Hyderabad.

The rally would touch Puttaparthi, Kurnool, Kadapa, Nellore, Vijayawada.

Cultural programmes, solidiers rally, army band, sky diving, para sailing and other activities would also be conducted.

Navy team from Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam airforce groups would join the car rally, he added.

'Friendship through games' was the slogan of the games.

Speaking on the occasion DRO M Mohan Raju said all help required for the rally would be extended during the two-day rally.
