Canara Bank to host ninth Inter Institutional Championship

Bangalore, Aug 23 (UNI) Public sector Canara Bank, under the aegis of Bank's Sports Board, will host ninth Inter Institutional Badminton Championship a four day event, here from August 25.

Seven teams in the men's section, and five in the women's side would be seen in action in the team event to be held on knockout basis. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd are the defending champions in both the sections.

The winners would get to the zonal event of inter state championship.

The leading stars who would be seen in action include Leena Chapre, Manju George, Jaison Xavier, D Guruprasad, Veneet Manuel and K Tanishka.
