BSF Jammu Frontier wins golf tournament

Shillong, Sep 24 (UNI) The Jammu Frontier of the Border Security Force (BSF) today won the 13th BSF Inter Frontier Golf tournament 2007 at the picturesque Shillong Golf Course here.

The championship trophy (best team winner on gross-2 cards) was won by the Jammu Frontier and best team runner-up was BSF Gujarat Frontier.

Commandant Pushpinder Singh was adjudged as the best golfer, Deputy Inspector General Prithvi Raj was accredited with the best gross winner award while the best gross runner-up was awarded to D S Sandhu.

Dr P Lengen won the best gross award and Gaurav Bajaj was adjudged as the best gross runner-up at the BSF Open 2007 for Civilian Members.

The two-day tournament draws 29 avid golfers from the BSF headquarters at Delhi as well as different frontier headquarters.

BSF Director General A K Mitra had inaugurated the tournament.
