Bronze really is a dream come true for Roethlin
OSAKA, Japan, Aug 25 (Reuters) Not all the hard work which propelled Viktor Roethlin to bronze in the world championships marathon today was put in on the roads -- some of his vital preparation was done in bed.
The 32-year-old Swiss is convinced a dream he had of finishing third contributed to his success.
''You will probably not believe this, but on my Web page I have written a motto 'If you can dream it, you can do it','' the Swiss runner said.
''I had never had any dreams about Athens before the Olympic Marathon, and I did not finish... and last night I had a dream winning bronze here in Osaka. That is what happened.'' Roethlin said a dream he had had last year also correctly predicted his silver medal finish at the European championships.
