Brazilian defender Luisao released

LISBON, Jan 12 (Reuters) Brazil and Benfica defender Luisao was released after a hearing before a judge for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol earlier today, local television TVI reported.

The 25-year-old told journalists outside the court in Lisbon he was ''going back to Benfica's training grounds.'' Benfica travel to Coimbra to meet Academica in the Portuguese Premier League on Monday.
