Bopanna-Rochus storms into Stockholm semis

Stockholm, Oct 12 (UNI) Rohan Bopanna and his Belgian partner Olivier Rochus scored an upset victory over fourth seeds Dutch-Protea pair of Jeff Coetzee and Rogier Wassen to cruise into the semi-finals of the Stockholm Open here.

The unseeded Indo-Belgian pair took little less than an hour to dispose off the challenge of their rivals 6-2,6-3 in the quarter-finals of the harcourt indoor event yesterday.

They will now be up against second seeds Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Max Mirnyi of Belarus in the semi-finals, who outclassed Aussie-Spainiard duo of Oscar Hernandez and Peter Luczak 6-3, 6-4 in the last eight.
