Bond hoping to play for New Zealand against England

SYDNEY, Jan 22 (Reuters) Injured fast bowler Shane Bond hopes to resume playing for New Zealand in tomorrow's tri-series one-day internatonal against England in Adelaide.

Bond missed New Zealand's loss to Australia in Sydney yesterday because of a back complaint but team manager Lindsay Crocker said the paceman had made a quick recovery.

''He's jumping out of his skin and was very keen to be considered,'' Crocker told the New Zealand Press Association.

''He's ready to go, he knows his body better than any fitness trainer and I'd expect him to play.'' Bond completed a rare one-day international hat-trick in his previous match against Australia but failed to take a wicket in the next game against England when his back started to play up.

Bond has been plagued by stress fractures during his career and initially thought he had suffered a recurrence before doctors cleared of him any serious problem.
