BKSP to take on Green Wood in Subroto Cup final

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) BKSP (Bangladesh) downed St Ignatious (Jharkhand) 2-0 while Green Wood HS School (Nagaland) defeated Army Boys Company (Lucknow) 2-1 in the Sub-junior (U-14) semifinals of the Subroto Cup here today.

Green Wood had a tough task on hand against Army Boys.

The Army team surged ahead in the eighth minute through Pranav Rai. But Tingmjek scored a brace (18th, 36th min ) as the Nagas emerged 2-1 winners.

BKSP (Bangladesh) had a relatively easier outing against St Ignatious with Salman Shah (14th min) and Mohd Ratul Islam (35th min) finding the net for the winners.

In the semifinals of the Junior (U-17) section, Army Boys Company (Bangalore) edged out Town High School (Orissa) 1-0 thanks to a brilliant strike by Elvis Kipgen in the 18th minute. They will meet Govt Central HS School (Mizoram) who defeated SAI (Kolkata) 2-1 in the final.

Joseph Lalmunpuia (29th min) put the Mizos in the lead. Abhishek Debnath (40th min) levelled the issue but K Lalawmpuia (89th min) scored the winning goal for the Mizoram team.
