Bisht, Khade moves into quaterfinals

Pune, Nov 5 (UNI) The second seeded Ronit Bisht of Delhi and eighth seeded Arjun Kadhe of Maharashtra moved into the quarterfinals in the boys singles event of the Walchand Cup under 16 National Series Tennis Tournament here.

In closely fought encounters Bisht managed to save two match points in the second and third set to scrape past local boy Sumit Shinde 2-6, 7-6(7-5), 7-6(7-2) in a thriller, while eighth seeded Kadhe defeated another local lad Om Dalvi 3-6, 7-6(7-3), 6-1.

However, in a minor upset Maharashtra's Rutuja Bhonsale defeated 14th seed Vaibhavi Trivedi of Gujarat 6-3, 6-1 to move into the third round of the girls singles event.
