Bengal Governor Gandhi congrats Jhulan

Kolkata, Sep 11 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi today congratulated Jhulan Goswami on being adjudged the ICC Women's Cricketer of the year.

In his statement, Mr Gandhi wished her success.

Jhulan, hailing from Nadia district, is a pace spearhead for India.

She was named the International Cricket Council's Women's Cricketer of the Year yesterday.

She took 20 wickets in 16 ODIs and scalped 10 against England to facilitate a convincing victory in the second Test.
