Barreto Slams hattrick in facile 2nd win for Bagan

Kolkata, Jul 15 (UNI) Brazilian Jose Ramirez Barreto became the first striker to score a hattrick in the Sahara Premier Football League to lead Mohun Bagan to a 3-1 win against Chirag United at their home ground here today.

Reigning champion Bagan now lead the eight-team league table with six points from two matches.

Barreto was unstoppable in the rainfed home ground and unleashed a pilediver in the 26th minute of match.

His second goal came seven minutes after break and the hattrick goal exactly six minutes later.

The lone goal for Chirag, which drew their first match with George Telegraph, came from Achinta Saha at the fag end.
