Barca steps up pursuit of Arsenal's Fabregas

London, July 10 (ANI): Spanish football club Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas.According to The Sun, club president Joan Laporta has claimed that signing Fabregas is high on their agenda this summer.

He said: "Signing Cesc this summer is not a solution we have discarded."

Laporta openly tapped up Fabregas, 22, last week when he told the Spain star to declare he wants to join his boyhood club.

Sun Sport reported on Monday that the Arsenal board were bracing themselves for an offer from either Barca or Real Madrid - and would reluctantly part with the star for around 40 million pounds. (ANI)
