'Bandra-Worli sea link can be used for 2009 Mumbai Marathon'

Mumbai, Nov 15 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister for Road Development Anil Deshmukh assured the organisers of the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon that the 2009 edition of the Marathon would be held on the Bandra-Worli sea link that is under construction at the moment.

Mr Deshmukh gave this assurance while speaking at the launch of the 5th Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, which will be held on January 20, 2008, at a function last night.

Mr Deshmukh said as the Road Development Minister I can assure you that the Bandra-Worli sea link would be completed by the time the 2009 Mumbai Marathon is held so that the organisers can use it.
