Balaji returns after injury lay-off

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Discarded Team India seamer Lakshmipathy Balaji is back after a stress fracture kept him out of the game for two years.

Balaji turned out for Chennai Super Kings in the multi-million dollar Indian Premier League (IPL).

The 26-year-old from Chennai bowled decently for his 2 for 35 from four overs against Delhi Daredevils at the Feroze Shah Kotla here yesterday.

The medium pacer bowled over everyone with his impressive showing and charming smile on India's victorious tour of Pakistan in 2004.

Even after a long break, he bowled in the right areas and claimed the wickets of the in-form Gautam Gambhir and Pakistan skipper Shoiab Malik.
