Avish, Farah steal show in Go Kart championship
Pune, May 29 (UNI) Avish Daver and Farah Bathena, displaying supreme confidence and skills, were the toast of the day and captured the title in the open Go Kart championship, which concluded today at the Pune Sub-Area sports complex here.
Tukshad Davar and Rutika Jain burnt the tracks by their sheer skill and speed while negotiating sharp bends to claim the top spot in the senior boys and girls section.
The event sponsored by Niyati Builders, Maruti True Value, Shell Oil and Budhani Brothers attracted 120 Go-Kart enthusiasts from city schools and colleges.
Abha Mankar was awarded a special prize for her brilliant performance.
Ms Kusum Singh, wife of Maj Gen S K Singh (MIGGS) Headquarters Southern Command was the guest of honour and gave away the prizes.
Following are the results Boys: Collegiate Class : Avish Daver 1, Naee Bootwalla 2, Mit Karia 3.
Senior:Tukshad Daver 1, Taveesh Contractor 2, Darshan Keshariya 3.
Junior: Vikram 1, Rishav Singh 2, Abhijit Roy 3.
Sub-Junior: Arman Kler 1, Priyom Das 2, Dhruv Tomer 3.
Girls: Collegiate Class: Farah Bathena 1, Firdaush Shaikh 2, Praparna 3.
Senior: Rutika Jain 1, Filza 2.
Junior: Deeksha Rawat 1.
Sub-Junior Chantal Sharma 1, Aayushi Rawat 2, Rohini Samtani 3.
