Australia recalls Watson to face West Indies in Brisbane ODI

Sydney, Feb.13 (ANI): Australian cricket selectors have recalled all-rounder Shane Watson to the one-day squad for the fourth one-day international against the West Indies to be played at The Gabba in Brisbane.

Watson comes into the squad in place of an injured Shaun Marsh. Opener Marsh has suffered a back injury.

Watson was initially rested from games three and four of the five-match series against West Indies, but he has cut short his break after Marsh pulled out of the rain-affected game at the SCG on Friday.

Marsh suffered back spasms during the pre-game warm-up for the third game, which was called off a little more than one over into the visitors' innings after Australia had scored just 225.

"Due to Shaun Marsh's injury, the (selectors have) elected to bring Shane Watson back into the squad for (the) match at the Gabba," chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said.

Marsh remains in contention for the final game of the series in Melbourne next week. (ANI)
