Atwal slips to tied 41st in Xerox Classic
Rochester, New York, Aug 17 (UNI) Arjun Atwal carded a poor three-over 73 to slip to the tied 41st spot at the end of the third round of the Nationwide's Xerox Classic here today.
Atwal, overnight tied 17th, has a three-round total of even-par 210.
The Chandigarh pro opened with a birdie on the third but then he bogeyed the sixth.
The back nine was a disaster with a double bogey on the 11th and a bogey on the 13th.
At the top, overnight leader Brendon De Jonge (67) of Zimbabwe stretched his lead to three strokes with a total of 12-under 198 after 54 holes.
American Jonathan Fricke (63) and Englishman Greg Owen (67) were tied for the second spot.
