Atwal finishes tied 21st in Pennsylvania Classic

Scranton, Pennsylvania, Aug 13 (UNI) Arjun Atwal fired four birdies in his final day three-under 68 and finished a creditable tied 21st at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic of the Nationwide Tour here.

Atwal, who needed just 25 putts to complete the round, birdied the fourth, sixth, 10th and 16th holes while his sole bogey came on the ninth at Glenmaura National Golf Club.

The Kolkata pro aggregated five-under 279 and pocketed 4,622 dollar for his effort.

Atwal, however, moved just one spot on the money-list from 46 to 45th. He would need to find some good results over the next two months to get into the top-25 to earn a PGA Tour card for next year.

Meanwhile, American Justin Bolli birdied the 16th and 18th holes in his final round 66 to win by one stroke over compatriot Patrick Sheehan and Sweden's Richard Johnson.

Bolli's four-day total of 14-under 270 ensured his second career Nationwide Tour win and first title of the season.

Johnson had a one-stroke lead heading into the 17th hole, but put his approach shot into a creek near the green which resulted in a double bogey to settle for tied second.

With this victory and the 90,000 dollar winner's purse, Bolli moves to number six in the money list with nearly 250,000 dollars.

This will ensure University of Georgia graduate to finish the year inside ''The 25'' and earn his 20008 PGA tour card.
